Meetings

The public portions of the Board of Directors Meetings are generally held the second Wednesday of each month from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at various locations around the Bay Area.  All Chapter members are welcome to listen to the proceedings via teleconference.  For information about the next Board of Directors meeting, contact the PMI SFBAC President.


Elected Board
Ray Ju, PMP, CSM, MBA, MAL
President

Ray is passionate about project management and has been an active contributor of PMI since 1987, attaining his PMP #560. As a senior level practitioner with over 25 years of experience he has applied these skills leading local, national and global teams for AT&T, Wells Fargo, Sun Microsystems, City of Oakland, Cisco, Chiron, Perot Systems, CSAA, CompuMentor, Gilead and now at California Pacific Medical Center. He also serves as VP of Programs for the Diversity SIG and is a member of the Taiwan and Honolulu PMI Chapters.

Born, raised and still living in San Francisco, Ray continues to support the community as a volunteer to the United States Tennis Association and as an instructor at the University of California Berkeley Extension, Project Management Certificate Program. He also enjoys telling his project management stories to international conference audiences or while sharing a plate of Siena Pici pasta or a cup of Hangzhou Dragon Well tea. His philosophy on life is simple, “apply a balance of art and science to forge long term relationships for nurturing and growing social and professional networks.


Tony Appleby, PMP, SCPM
Past President

As a Principal for the Project Strategy Consulting Group (PSCG), Tony has been involved with project and portfolio management maturity assessments on several continents, working with the global leadership and country executives of several multinational firms. Prior to the PSCG, Tony was the Director of Project Management for an international design and manufacturing conglomerate based in the United States. He has worked with the senior leadership of numerous Fortune 500 / Global 2000 companies and created and implemented both systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and portfolio management processes for them. He has more than two decades of project and professional experience and has also served as an officer with the U.S. Armed Forces for twelve years. He specializes in risk assessment and aversion as well as the remediation of failing or troubled projects and programmes. He holds a BS from the University of the District of Columbia and is both a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM). He is a member of numerous professional organizations and is on the board of directors for a major manufacturing concern.


JP Zingmark, PMP, MBA
Chief Financial Officer

JP Zingmark holds BS & MBA degrees from Santa Clara University and has twelve years Financial Services experience (Franklin Resources, Inc., VISA USA, E*Trade, and Stewart Information Services Corp.). From '05 through '07 he was PMI-SFBAC Controller, and most recently served as the '08 Deputy CFO for which he was presented with the chapter's "2008 Volunteer of the Year" award at the 35th Anniversary Celebration on 3/6/09. From '03 to '07 he managed a mid-sized corporate financial accounting system and in '06-'07 he worked with chapter CFOs to modernize the chapter's chart of accounts while also upgrading to Quick Books On-line. He brings four years of chapter Finance team experience to the CFO position and promises to provide the 2009 Board and chapter members with accurate and ethical financial reports and continued great service.


Bill Dominguez, PMP, CSM
VP of Community Relations

Bill is a Certified Scrum Master and Master Performance and Leadership Coach. As a seasoned professional, Bill brings to this position over 25 years of executive leadership, management, and staff positions in the areas of business development, marketing, sales, program development, and project management for startups as well as Fortune 10 companies.

Bill is an active member of Bay Area Agile Project Leader Network and sits on its Coordinating Committee. His recognition of synergies between both organizations and the importance of applying agility to strategy as well as to traditional project management frameworks have led to active participation and partnering by both groups resulting in multiple joint events and increased membership activity. Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, and the “greening” of project management are areas which Bill is dedicated to expanding in our community. Bill has served the Chapter as Deputy VP Community Relations and has held multiple Chapter volunteer positions including Project Manager of the successful 35th Anniversary event. Bill, as VP of Community Relations is dedicated to strengthening and expanding the Chapter’s presence in the Bay Area through service to our membership and our community.


Natalia Boyadjiev, PMP, CSM, MS
VP of Operations

Throughout her career, Natalia has been involved in project management, e-commerce, web development, training, consulting, science and engineering. She holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and is currently working towards a Master’s in Information Technology Management at Golden Gate University, where she also works as a Project Manager/Senior Web UI Developer/Web Producer.  Her strong leadership skills and drive for innovation make her dedication to volunteering an important part of her lifestyle.

As a volunteer she helped a number of organizations including the Marin County Treasure Department, California Defense Investigators Association, Fair Housing of Marin, Rancho Elementary School, etc. Her passion for project management brought her to the PMI. Natalia joined the PMI-SFBA Chapter in April of 2009 and from the very beginning became an excellent addition to the Chapter’s Operations management team. She strives for quality and process improvement, emphasizing the use of technology in integrated relationship with business functions to move the Chapter to its next level.


Catherine L. Dupont , PMP, CSM
VP of Professional Development

Catherine L. Dupont has a proven track record leading and managing projects in healthcare, bio-pharmaceutical, specialty retail and financial services industries. With over 10 years of experience in IT, operations and healthcare, she has consulted and managed teams for diverse companies such as Kaiser Permanente, Wells Fargo Bank, Protiviti Risk and Management Consulting, and other corporate clients.

Ms. Dupont has successfully led corporate governance efforts to implement HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory compliance measures and provided continuous improvements into enterprise operations and projects. She was also a member of the Kaiser Permanente HealthConnect Project team, which has implemented the largest civilian electronic health records system in the United States. Ms. Dupont has a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and is Certified Project Manager and ScrumMaster. She has been a member of the PMI since 2006.
